The first ever Thanksgiving Dinner is Done fundraiser was a huge success! Board members and volunteers came together to make 175 casseroles which were sold to wonderful members of the community. Thanks to everyone who supported this new fundraiser, we hope you enjoy!

Lake City introduces ADA compliant swing set

On Friday, October 4, there were smiles and tears as two individuals served by the Florence County Disabilities and Special Needs Board experienced swinging on the playground for the first time! Thank you to Jason Springs and the Florence County Council for bringing the ADA compliant swing set to the Lake City lake. It will bring years of enjoyment for anyone who has a disability and has not been able to do something as simple as swinging on a swing.

Junior Sorosis Club of Lake City

Junior Sorosis Club of Lake City presents a donation of $6000 to Pee Dee Thrift staff and the individuals they serve through Florence County Disabilities Foundation. These funds will assist the Foundation in providing dental care, wheelchairs, special equipment and so much more.
